Brace update

I am sorry that I haven't updated lately about Travis's brace. As of last week we submitted paperwork to our amazing Dr Dave Hill to help him write up the orders for the right leg brace. We will start the process of trying to get insurance to pay for this one. When we lost the appeal at court the only reasons they could give us was they wanted more data. Well we have data! If you have seen Travis lately you can tell by just watching him walk how amazing this brace has been for him. We have only had 1 fall since getting the brace and the wear and tear on Trav is less and less the more he trusts and learns to walk better with this brace. Travis always says that he thought he did pretty good before at getting around but can't believe the difference. Here is to prayers and hope that this appeal of denial will not take three years and insurance will see the benefits for Travis and just pay for it. We will continue to update you as we move further through this process.

Momma Rhonda R.I.P

This week the world lost this amazing lady. I remember walking into sally beauty supply and meeting rhonda and becoming fast friends and family from that moment on. She was always a listening ear, getting my butt up early for the gym( she always said you can sleep when you die) giving me great advice and loving me like I was her own daughter. She was and will always be my momma rhonda and I will always hold her close to my heart. During my divorce this woman was my rock and her and her amazing husband always had an open door for me, she even bubble wrapped my things up for me and packed the horse trailer the day I left. So grateful we still keep in touch and I know she was so proud of what I had become and seeing me happy with my little family. I was so looking forward to going back this fall and her meeting them. Love you momma rhonda!

Favorite pictures this week!

I will be trying to update the blog at least weekly and I'm gonna try to add more pictures so we can have a scrapbook at the end of the year, so here is the pictures for this week.
We got to watch Brooklynn, Will and Wyatt yesterday and the boys had fun frog hunting with Uncle Max and the girls stayed home and played. We also had a great 4th of July at the Benzlers with some incredible fireworks.

Haigen enjoying Miracle Morning coloring with mom and below the mighty frog hunters.

Charley 6/6/2017

Where do I begin with this girl? She has been the perfect ending to our family and has everybody wrapped around her little finger. She is in love with her daddy and will do anything to be right next to him including kicking your brothers butts. She will be two next month and we can always be found right by your brothers or her dad. She is starting to talk so much and it's so fun to hear her cute little things like," i you and see ya." She also loves giving goodbye kisses and hugs over and over and over again. She unfortunately doesn't go to cousin camp this year because she's not potty trained so mommy, daddy and Charley will be doing some fun things together while the boys are gone. It is been so much fun having a girl in the family And it's exciting to see her little personality change and grow everyday.

Tate 6/6/2017

Tate is now four years old and is always his brothers little sidekick. He is also loving rescue bots and Power Rangers right now. He really wants to learn how to read and pretends to read to us all the time it's so cute. Some of the funny things he says lately are, " what snuggle people, that's gonna take forever. " he loves once upon a times at night with his dad and is also looking forward to cousin camp next week. He is excited for another year of preschool next year with Miss Sunny. This year in preschool he wants to become a scary driver when he grows up but still continues to talk about being a bullrider as well and is excited for mutton buston this summer.

Haigen 7/6/2017

Haigen is such a stud! I have loved watching him grow up! He is seven years old and loves to help his dad and brothers and sisters. His favorite thing to do is to draw lately and to read. He is so into rescue bots and Power Rangers. You can always find him helping his dad, doing his chores, or playing with his brother and sister. We are so blessed to have him in our family. One of the things he's so excited for the summer his cousin camp next week and hanging out with all of his cousins. I can't believe we are going to have a second grader next school year. I'm excited to continue watching him grow but I wish he would slow down.

And we are back ...

It has been a minute since we posted on the blog but I am going to try to update it at least 2 times a month. One of the reasons I want to update the blog more often is due the publishing of my children's book being delayed due to how expensive it and not quite finding the illustrator I am looking for.

~Travis~
Travis continues to improve with his walking skills due to this new leg brace and the insurance did not deny us first thing when we sent in for the second brace yay!! They wanted a new prescription from the Neurologist and we got that taken care two weeks ago so we will just play the waiting game and see. He still works at Heber Light and Power and loves that and is looking forward to camping this summer.

~Haigen~
He had a great year in 1st grade and made huge gains in his reading and math skills. He loves to read to the family at night and loves to solve multiplication math problems. He did the cutest thing for our summer bucket list, on one side we listed the items that we wanted to do this summer and then he made a column for an adjective to describe the activity after we complete it :)
He is loving that it is summer time and is looking forward to Lagoon.

~Tate~
Tate enjoyed his first full year of preschool and learned a lot as well. His favorite thing was recess and snack time. He is growing into such a big boy and loves to play with his big brother no matter what he is doing. He has been working hard this summer on his speech skills and is making huge improvements. He is most excited for fireworks and rodeos this summer.

~Charley~
Wow where do I start! Charley is hell on wheels lol :) Seriously though she has such a huge personality for such a small little girl its incredible. She is always one step behind her daddy or big brothers and loves anything to do with animals or water.
She is getting so big and I can't believe she will be 2 in August. She has been the perfect ending to our family.

All three kiddos had tonsils or adenoids out last Wednesday and whoever thought that this was a good idea is crazy! Everyone has been recovering okay besides little Tater Tot, the day of surgery he continued to throw up blood and had to go to the emergency room. After further examination he was still bleeding in his throat and had to go back into surgery to have it fixed. After a scary couple of hours he got out of surgery and was doing okay. Due to the amount of blood he lost during his puking session he had to undergo a blood transfusion. After staying late at the hospital we came home to wake up the next morning to some really yucky pee and dehydration we were back in the ER for fluids then again coming home and spiking a high fever landing us in the hospital for 24 hours to get him to a better spot.  It was a scary scary day for mommy and daddy but I am happy to say that today has been a good day for him and I am hoping we are on the upside of this surgery.

~Lindsay~
Mommy has obviously been really busy with three little patients! In all the free time I have right now with it being summer I am loving working on projects around the house, getting some deep cleaning done and painting some rooms I have been waiting to do. I continue to run and will be doing some local races but nothing huge this year besides Women of Steel.
