Monster Truck Jam

Yesterday we went to the monster truck show with Will, Wyatt, Uncle Itchy, Aunt Cher and Grandma. Wow did Haigen love it! He was sitting on Daddy’s lap with his eyes glued to the trucks most of the time. It was really fun to see what those trucks can do in such a small space. I think we will for sure be going back next year. Now we are looking forward to Disney on Ice in a couple of weeks with all of the cousins.

Haigen is almost 2 years old!! Where did the time go???

Haigen of course is growing up so fast. His favorite word right now is” no” or “where is Will and Wyatt?” He is saying more and more everyday and actually makes sense now. He copies everything Will and Wyatt do or say. He loves his books and has a new stuffed dog named Chocolate Milk that never leaves his side and he has to take everywhere.

He is going through a picky food phase and just likes to snack on Gold fish most of the time. He had his first experience riding a snowmobile last month up at the Summit and now he asks to go every time we walk out of the house. So last Monday we took him up to the Summit to go and he fell asleep 2 miles into the ride. :) After having tubes put in again in January he has been a healthy little boy and is sleeping so well in his big boy bed all night. YAY!

He is such a fun and good little boy and we are so blessed God gave him to us. We are excited to start swimming lessons next weekend to get him ready for the summer. We are also getting excited to plan his 2nd birthday in April, crazy how fast time has flown since we had him. We are excited to watch this little stinker grow up!

Sleepover with Baby Lawson

A couple weeks ago we went to a birthday party at Heber Hand Springer and my nephew Lawson and Aunt Kel were up here so they came with us. Lawson had so much fun crawling all over the mats and crawling on the trampoline. It was so much fun to have him sleepover, even though Haigen was not so sure of it. I hope this summer we will be able to play with baby Lawson more. I  love being an Aunt, it is so much fun to see them grow up and to watch how much Haigen enjoys his cousins. Uncle Carson and Aunt Amberlee are expecting a little boy in the middle of March so we will have three little boys on my dad’s side. I don’t think Grandma and Grandpa mind it one bit!

Tattoos and three little yahoos

Travis has come up with a great reward for the boys when they are being good and earn a reward. TATTOOS! Wow the boys are all obsessed with them and Trav even found a huge book of them at Walgreens the other day.

Here are some hilarious pictures of the boys and their tattoos. It is so funny how tough they think they are with them as well as how they show them off.( aka shirtless all day) Ha ha! Whatever helps Trav get through the week with the three yahoos right??

Discovery Gateway!

I am just playing catch up on the blog so here is some pictures from our trip to Discovery Gateway in January. I took Will, Wyatt and Haigen and meet some friends down there and spent the day with the kids. They all had a blast and I recommend if you have not been there and live in Utah you should go check it out. I think Haigen and Izzy’s favorite thing was the water area and the boys all loved the building block area. I am sure we will be making some trips there this summer.

Stem Cell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Feb. 17th Travis embarked on an amazing journey with stem cell therapy. We had been looking into it for a couple of months and finally decided to do it. We found the American Stem Cell Institute in Mesa and in San Francisco. Travis called and the soonest appointment was in the Mesa location so we made our arrangements to go there. The procedure is called autologous stem cell therapy a form of regenerative medicine, how the procedure works is they do a liposuction procedure they “harvest” the stem cells, the doctors said it is not as aggressive as lipo to not damage the stem cells but dang it looked way painful and Trav said it hurt like hell. They do not do any form of anesthesia they just numb the area where they pulled the stem cells from. After they took the stem cells out they let us leave for 3 hours and we went back to our hotel to rest. Three hours we went back to get all of the “stemies” (this is what the doctor called them) injected back into him. They were able to harvest 22.4 million, crazy right. So with injections they put the stem cells back into Travis body three ways, some through IV with other nutrients such as potassium, B12, etc. Then they put some injections into his spinal cord as well as hundreds of injections all over into his legs where the most damage had been done.

WOW huh! So everyone’s question is what happens now? Well from what we understand stem cells can go in and repair anything that is damaged, so hopefully those stemies will go back in and repair all of Trav’s nerve endings that are dead as well as grow new ones to give him more mobility. They told us we will start seeing things anywhere from a couple days up to 6 months later. Travis feels like he is stronger and more balanced but only time will tell. We are so thankful to all of our amazing friends and family who have been so supportive through this journey as well as the financial support you have given us, due to insurance not covering any of the procedure. We are so blessed to have all of you in our lives and always supporting Trav no matter what he is doing! We are so excited to see what this procedure will bring for Trav!

Trav could not handle watching them put all the injections in him.
