I am thankful for...

On Facebook lately I have been posting all the things I am thankful for on a daily basis and I thought I would do a post on our blog of all the amazing things that have happened in our life this year. Our family has so much to be grateful for, I don't think I can find the words to express it.

This year has brought many new medical hopes for Travis and his condition. We found a new therapy place in SLC called Neuro Works that specializes in Quadriplegics and Paraplegics. Travis therapist Matt is amazing and with the help of his students from the University of Utah they have come up with great ideas for Travis to do to strengthen the muscles in his legs to help him walk more independently.

Travis also had his Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted last month and now that he is recovering from the surgery he is realizing how much this device helps not only with his pain but his sleep, which is just an added bonus.

Haigen is of course a happy, healthy 1 ½ year old that is smarter than a whip and makes us so proud everyday with all the new things he picks up on.  We are so blessed to have a healthy little boy who is developing exactly how he is supposed to. He is the joy of our lives and couldn’t have imagined parenthood to being such an amazing blessing in our lives.

This year as well Travis and I are so thankful for the grace of God and finding him in our lives. We were baptized earlier this year into the Christian church and have found our church home at Mountain View Fellowship. We have come to grow in our faith and have met so many amazing life long friends there.

As for me I am so thankful for the education that I have received and am able to use in my career and provide for my family. I am really enjoying the change from the Severe Program to working with the mild/moderate students this year and working on the Reading Intervention team. I also am so blessed to work with such an amazing group of women that are some of my best friends.

We are most importantly so grateful and blessed to have the greatest family anyone could ask for. They are always there for our family, supporting and loving us no matter what comes our way.

We love each and every one of you and are so grateful to have all of you in our life!
