Well 2010 is here and gone! It still amazes me how fast life can fly by. January was a long month for us. Haigen has had ear infection after ear infection and finally after an appointment with the ENT he got tubes in his ears. After weeks of no sleep and a sick sad baby we were glad to have our happy boy back.
The picture to the left is Haigen on his loopy medicine waiting to go back into surgery. He did very well and we are glad he is on the mend now. He still has a little cold and cough but feeling much better.
There is never a dull moment for Travis during the week. Between Will and Wyatt's adventures and Haigen he keeps plenty busy.
Last week we got a letter from the insurance saying we were denied for the nerve simulator device but we are still working with the doctor to look at our other options such as a research study but we will keep you updated on this.
As for me I am just continually working on my weight loss journey but am very excited for some races this year. I signed up for a 10 K in Washington in April, a half marathon in July that I am going to do with some of Travis's cousins down in Bryce Canyon and then I will be doing a Full Marathon in August in Park City.
I have also made a decision to take a break from Severe Special Education next year and just teach Resource students. There is no definite plans yet, just a conversation has been had with my supervisors so we will see what next year brings!
We are excited to see what 2011 has in store for us!
